Teddy Bear Hospital at the RUH

Take your poorly teddies for treatment, plaster for a broken arm, prepping for surgery, or even a dental checkup. In conjunction with the NHS Foundation Trust, this series of workshops will offer a glimpse into hospital life, creating positive memories associated with typical hospital activities. The various stations also place children inside an ambulance with paramedic volunteers helping to explain and demonstrate various first aid, and Roly, the teddy bear mascot to lend a hand.

Created in response to children’s growing fears of hospitals to offer a fun and educational day to put those worries at ease. It will take place in the Children’s Outpatient Department, with both a morning and afternoon session available to book. Sessions run 10am-12pm and 1330-330pm.
