Pottery painting is a fantastic activity for kids and adults, led by an experienced team who will get your pieces looking their best. There are all sorts to pick from – plates, mugs and vases to piggybanks, dinosaurs and pet bowls. It’s amazing to see what even the littlest of painters create, make fun memories and then 2-3 weeks later you’ll have a unique piece of pottery you can keep forever.
The new Crafter’s Corner Café in the Home & Lifestyle store offers tasty toasties, delicious milkshakes, hot drinks and cakes for you to snack on while you paint. Party bookings have also become extremely popular – celebrate a birthday, baby shower, hen party and get delicious food and drinks included in your package such as a deli grazing board or summer picnic selection.
If pottery painting isn’t enough to satisfy the inner creative, Flourish Home & Lifestyle’s Crafter’s Corner is a space where local artists and makers can host craft workshops of all kinds. In the past there’s been adult and child printmaking, soy candle making, dried flower wreaths and mosaics.
New workshops are added all the time and there’s loads on for the grown-ups and older children such as fused glass, acrylic painting, silver clay and calligraphy. The Flourish pottery team are also planning some clay hand-building workshops for children and adults alike – keep your eyes peeled on the website and socials!
Flourish’s menu boasts a variety of fresh seasonal dishes to suit any taste for the summer season. Ask a member of the team for a child’s menu which includes smaller versions of Flourish classics for little appetites – including a small breakfast, brioche French toast, scrambled eggs or beans on toast for breakfast and the Flourish beef burger, margherita pizza, or grazing plate for lunch.
On the regular menu, this summer’s specials include harissa salmon, steak & onion ciabatta sandwich, Moroccan spiced lamb flatbread and warm chicken salad. New on the menu are the filled ciabattas – freshly made sandwiches served with a side salad, coleslaw and crisps.
The wood-fired pizzas are a Flourish staple and are a perfect sharing dish for the family. When the sun’s out, sit out on the terrace for a cooling smoothie or ice cream milkshake and if the British drizzle is back, cosy up in the kitchen with a hot chocolate or a coffee.
