Bath Lights the Night
November 23 – 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
A musical tour of the city lit with handmade lanterns and giant puppets created by local schoolchildren and groups and accompanied by Jamma de Samba. The parade starts outside Sweet Little Things at 5.15pm before the procession sets off at 5.30pm. The event is free, and tickets for the concert in the Abbey at 6pm can be reserved in advance. The starry lights on the front of the Abbey will take place every 15 minutes throughout the Christmas period.
The parade finishes at Bath Abbey with the first projection of stars onto the west face of Bath Abbey. Inside the Abbey, a concert featuring local musicians will be staged under the Light of Stars installation. This piece of art, created by Paper Starlights, is a constellation of over 100 handmade paper stars set against the 17th century architecture of the Abbey, celebrating community and togetherness. We are all ‘Under the Same Stars’.
