All events for Michael Simpson: Drawing towards Painting at the Holburne

The first exhibition to focus exclusively on the artist’s work on paper, exploring his approach to drawing as a route to what a painting might be. Made in a range of media on a variety of materials, revealing how ideas emerge and grow. The display will reflect his interest in certain images, such as the Leper Squint, the Confessional, and the Bench, and reflect his belief in ‘the infamy of religious history’.
