Roman Life (home educators) at Trowbridge Museum

Aimed at home educated children aged 8-11 years (KS2), this immersive workshop looks at Ancient Rome, the invasion of Britannia and life in Roman Britain with  a range of activities focusing on different aspects of Ancient Rome including life in a Roman villa, food and shopping, and Roman clothing. Learn about Ancient Rome in an engaging, challenging and enjoyable way with resources to handle, including domestic utensils, writing tablets and scales, costumes to try on and a role-play visit to a Roman bathhouse. The workshop begins with an introduction to Ancient Rome which includes its origins, culture and the invasion of Britannia as well as a look at Rome’s famous legions.
