Weftival at Whitchurch Silk Mill

With talks from special guests including Janet Phillips (hand weaver, fabric designer and author) and Meg Stavaru (Production Skills manager at Coldharbour, one of the oldest woollen mills in the UK), small craft fair showcasing textiles makers and weavers, children’s crafts area (suitable for upto aged 10), workshops, weaving taster sessions and drop-in braiding workshops (suitable for the ages of 8+), demonstrations of how to wind a warp on a warping frame, darning techniques, spinning and handweaving. In addition, take a tour behind the locked doors and onto the weaving floor, and view the weaving exhibition.
