Experience the beauty of 70,000 daffodils in bloom during March and April, with waves of different varieties opening in succession across the contemporary and historic grounds and gardens. The New American Garden, designed by US landscape architects Oehme, van Sweden, features 40,000 narcissus alone.

Children will be given a pot to plant with seasonal bedding plants including daffodils, primrose and other colourful varieties, that they can take away and watch grow.

Everyday during Museum opening hours, you can take part in free, themed creative activities in the family-friendly creative space on the ground floor.

Get hands-on with Meccano construction sets to engineer your own vehicle, equipment and more, led by the Education Officer. Each session lasts about 2 hours with each family working as a team. Due to small parts this is activity is not open to anyone under the age of 7.
