A new Son et Lumiere installation marking the first light and sound installation in the Abbey. The stained-glass windows of the Abbey will be brought to life using light projections and musical compositions highlighting the intricate designs and colours that define these masterpieces and echo the colours and stories once painted across the architecture.

Starting from Trowbridge Park and progressing through the town with music, floats and all of the usual carnival fun and sparkle!

An opportunity to see three stand-up acts along with a compere - from familiar faces to rising stars, different performers every week. In addition, tickets include club night entry to The Big Disco after the show.

Free admission for families during half-term (26 October – 3 November) and a ‘Fantastical Tails’ gallery trail inspired by the wonderful creatures and animals in Chila Burman and Paula Rego’s work; suitable for ages 6yrs+.

A celebration of all things autumnal including pumpkin patch Fur, Fangs, and Feathers scavenger hunt (28 Oct–1 Nov) to explore the zoo, hunt for hidden clues whilst learning all about some fascinating animals and native wildlife. Enjoy a ride behind the Fry’s locomotive from the old chocolate factory in Keynsham.  Discover more about this special locomotive, see displays on its history and the factory it served and talk to retired employees who worked there and enjoy a chocolate treat too.

Once there was a boy who wished he was a bird. He wished he could just fly away and be free of all his worries. This is a trip inside his head. In his whirring mind, thoughts, worries, fantasies all compete for space in a world where fitting in is hard to do. Full of fun and sorrow, this kaleidoscopic show celebrates the power of imagination and offers a vision of hope and connection. Suitable for ages 8+ years.

With five scare mazes, fire show, funfair rides, street entertainment, and a theatrical scare experience known as The Exorcism. Suitable for ages 16+.

Interactive sessions for children and carers to spend time together with drama, singing, crafting and story time activities inspired by the features of the Abbey, led by practitioner Holly Dabbs. Sessions run 930-1030am for children aged 2-4 years, and 11am-12pm for children under age 2. Ticket includes one parent/carer and child (accompanying babies in arms free). Tickets available online.
