An opportunity to take a tour of the School, meet with key staff and find out about the School.

Free exhibition featuring a selection of the 150,000 artefacts, specimens and books donated and cared for in our the collections of the Institute. Highlighting key people and events in the Institution’s history to demonstrate how it survived through two centuries. Some items are on show for the first time and will explore the circumstances in which they found their way into the Collection, and what this reveals of the shifts in our scientific, cultural and moral understanding over this period.

Free admission for families during half-term (26 October – 3 November) and a ‘Fantastical Tails’ gallery trail inspired by the wonderful creatures and animals in Chila Burman and Paula Rego’s work; suitable for ages 6yrs+.

Celebrating a journey through the diversity of American landscapes, history and culture in this contemporary, immersive experience, where visitors join in and share their own stories. There will be large-scale-travel games, theatrical sets, and an array of American road-trip memorabilia, as well a chance to get up close to an original 1958 Harley Davidson Duo Glide motorcycle, on loan from Haynes Motor Museum. Featuring around 100 posters, this blockbuster show brings bohemian Montmartre to Bath with bright colours and bold lines, Toulouse-Lautrec's striking artwork captured the essence of turn-of-the-century Parisian nightlife. Pieces include his first poster of the Moulin Rouge and the cancan dancers of La Troupe de Mademoiselle Eglantine, alongside works by other celebrated artists of the day. Experience a day in the life of a chorister suitable for children aged 7–9 years old. The day includes singing games, learning about the cathedral and finding out what a chorister really does. Lunch is provided, and at the end of the day the children sing Evensong with the Cathedral Choir. In the afternoon parents can take a tour of the school if they wish, and have afternoon tea in the historic Vicars’ Hall before the Evensong service.

Explore the 80 acre campus and discover the School. Headmaster, Mr Matt Way, will be hosting the morning and available to answer questions in combination with academic teaching and admissions staff.
