Free exhibition featuring a selection of the 150,000 artefacts, specimens and books donated and cared for in our the collections of the Institute. Highlighting key people and events in the Institution’s history to demonstrate how it survived through two centuries. Some items are on show for the first time and will explore the circumstances in which they found their way into the Collection, and what this reveals of the shifts in our scientific, cultural and moral understanding over this period.

Through its seasons, nature reminds us of the fragility of life and offers peace and solace from sadness and overwhelm. The interactive nature trail aims allow anyone wishing to find a wellbeing space to reflect in nature, or to find serenity in grief. Take a pause and learn more about the bio-diverse species found in the meadows, do some nature rubbings, view the art installation and explore the site.

Featuring around 100 posters, this blockbuster show brings bohemian Montmartre to Bath with bright colours and bold lines, Toulouse-Lautrec's striking artwork captured the essence of turn-of-the-century Parisian nightlife. Find out more »Be a chorister for the day at Wells Cathedral School
Experience a day in the life of a chorister suitable for children aged 7–9 years old. The day includes singing games, learning about the cathedral and finding out what a chorister really does. Lunch is provided, and at the end of the day the children sing Evensong with the Cathedral Choir. In the afternoon parents can take a tour of the school if they wish, and have afternoon tea in the historic Vicars’ Hall before the Evensong service.

Explore the 80 acre campus and discover the School. Headmaster, Mr Matt Way, will be hosting the morning and available to answer questions in combination with academic teaching and admissions staff.
