A special storytime and craft with Anthony Burt and the Queen's Knickers for children aged up to 8 years. Sessions at 11am and 2pm.

Crochet, knit or create bunting. Suitable for ages 6+.

A free creative workshop in partnership with Tessa Bide Productions who are making a new theatre show based on the book ‘The Detective Dog’ by Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie. Suitable for ages 5-8years. Session 1 (11am-12pm): for D/deaf children and their families (BSL interpreter provided). Session 2 (1-2pm): suitable for all (BSL interpreter also available).

Reduce waste and save money by repurposing old children's clothes into a fancy dress outfit by cutting, sticking or sewing. All children will need to be accompanied.

Crown Making: feel like royalty by decorating and wearing your own crown. Coronation Crafts: decorate a badge and do some coronation themed colouring. Nature Trail: a wildlife themed treasure hunt around the library! Ghillie Wakes Up: interactive storytime with Joe Robson (ages 4-8 years). Recycled gardens: contribute to the Coronation community garden made out of recycled materials! Suitable for children and adults.

Interactive family planetarium show. Hear stories of the stars, explore the night sky and find out about the discoveries of the Herschels and how they impact space exploration today. After your visit into the planetarium, join in a space themed craft to take home. Sessions at 1030am (ages 3-7 years), 1145am and 2pm (over 7's), pre-booking essential as places are limited.
