Corsham Regis Primary Academy has become more colourful thanks to the skills of staff member Sarah Hodges, who has painted a stunning peacock design in the school’s main entrance.
For over a year, Sarah and the Headteacher, Gareth Spicer, have been looking for inspiration to create a wonderful and bespoke image to welcome visitors to the school in the main entrance, symbolising what Corsham Regis means to the pupils, staff, parents and governors.
Sarah found a stunning image of a peacock and approached Gareth to see if she could reproduce it on the mezzanine floor just above the office entrance for everyone to see. Both Sarah and Gareth agreed it was the perfect image to display.
Peacocks are, of course, a familiar sight for visitors to Corsham, as well as also featuring on the logo for Corsham Regis.
“The design has been reproduced quite brilliantly by Sarah and is resplendent as you enter the building,” commented Gareth. “It is bright, bold and beautiful, and encapsulates what all the pupils and staff want visitors to takeaway with them as they leave this thriving school.”
