Stonar School is holding its first webinar for current and new international boarders on Friday 5 June to provide information regarding the school’s reopening and to take any questions attendees may have. A second webinar will be held at 5pm on Monday 15 June for current and new British boarders. Anyone interested in attending should contact email hidden; JavaScript is required for more information.
Stonar School is a member of the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) and has been working with the organisation throughout the COVID-19 crisis to ensure a quick and safe response to guidelines to adjust to the changing requirements and prepare for the school’s reopening.
Last week the BSA announced its COVID-SAFE Charter. This is a voluntary code to which schools can adhere and aims to give confidence to everyone that the school is following all appropriate measures to ensure that boarding is a safe environment for pupils. As such, Stonar is proud to advise parents, pupils, guardians and agents that the school has adopted the Charter. The Charter is aligned with the school’s own advanced plans for the reopening of boarding, which goes beyond statutory requirements. Further information on the Charter is available from the school’s website.
“The school understands that this has been a difficult period for everyone around the world and realises that there is still some uncertainty about the next few months,” said Matthew Way, the Head of Stonar School. “Indeed, the school’s plans will inevitably be updated regularly as the situation changes and as further guidance is received from the UK Government. Stonar is committed to being flexible and accommodating with both new and existing boarders.”
