The students at Oldfield School in Bath have carved in the face of adversity to make their annual pumpkin carving competition a ghoulish success. The theme this year was The Ghoul, The Bad and the Ugly, inspiring a range of weird and spooky designs, including a couple of covid-related examples.
The winning design came from Year 7 student, Theo Young, with Miss Sackett winning the staff contest.
Art teacher, Mr Pearce, said, “I am overwhelmed by the response to this year’s competition, with nearly 100 pumpkins gracing our canteen area. Well done to all the students and staff for keeping up the tradition, and many thanks to Newton St Loe Farm who donated hay bales on which to display the amazing creations.”
