Three Ways School in Bath has thanked Sainsbury’s in Bath for donating a variety of tech kit to help pupils and staff with home learning. The kit includes bluetooth speakers for speech and language lessons, speech and language MP3 players, desktop monitors and recordable speech buttons.
“Sainsbury’s in Odd Down contacted us to ask how they could support tech for those home schooling and those in school,” said Jo Stoaling, Headteacher at Three Ways. “We gave them a list of items that would be useful and they have kindly donated this IT equipment. It is wonderful to have such amazing support from our local supermarket.
“The equipment is wonderful for the students and staff to help with teaching remotely and in class and to bring lessons alive. The items have helped with being able to share music during sessions in the class and virtually, and have supported students to help focus attention when joining staff remotely, helping cut down distractions and background noise.”
Three Ways has remained open throughout the pandemic, supporting young people in school and at home. The staff have ensured that all young people have had regular contact with school, delivering packages, sending home work and IT equipment and supporting the wellbeing of the young people.
