Live events at Pound Arts in Corsham include several nights of wonderfully spirited yuletide music, as well as a one woman show featuring traditionally seasonal Victorian ghost stories so scary they’ll even leave Jacob Marley rattling in his chains!
Meanwhile, in The Pound cinema, there’s the chance to see two beloved Christmas classics on the big screen.
There’s also plenty of opportunity to take part in some suitably decorative Christmas workshops for adults and children.
You can even get a personalised video message from Father Christmas! Better yet, why not join the big man himself for a live stream, at home or at The Pound, full of fun and festive stories?
Last but not least, on Christmas week, are you brave enough to join Lil Red and her merries for a trip to the Wild, Wild Woods?
Personalised Video Messages from Father Christmas
Would you like someone to know what ‘List’ they are on? Celebrate achievements? Or just tell them how brilliant they are? Here’s a chance to do that with a video that they can watch again and again.
Bookers will be emailed shortly after their purchase about how to receive their message.

Carolling & Crumpets
John Kirkpatrick

£12 per person
Taking its title from John’s unforgettable song telling the Nativity story from the point of view of the animals in the stable, this show is a heart-warming look at the timeless rituals found in the folklore and folk music of England at Midwinter.
John peels away the commercial gloss of modern Christmas to reveal the powerful pagan urges that race through us all at this time of year, and the life and death struggle that is symbolised in so many traditional songs and customs.
Wild, Wild Woods
Scratchworks Theatre
Monday 19 – Saturday 24 December
Adult £9, Child £7, Family £28 (2 Adults & 2 Children)
Deep in the woods, the legend of a hooded hero rustles through the trees. Some know her as Robin, but first, she was Lil Red. Moons ago, a hungry pack of wolves came for Lil Red’s village. With nothing but the cape on her back and her trusty bow and arrow, Red and her ragtag band of merries are on the run.
Saddle up and join the outlaws as this western fairy-tale comes to life with foot-stomping original music, imaginative storytelling and a whole heap of junk from the recycling bin. Wolves made from bin bags, cardboard steeds and a vicious newspaper goose will have you discovering that one person’s rubbish is another person’s goldmine.
The show has an age guidance of 6+, but you know your child best!
