21 Year 12 Politics students from Hardenhuish School in Chippenham recently enjoyed a visit to the Houses of Parliament and the Supreme Court in London.
The students were fortunate to view the newly refurbished Parliament buildings from the South Bank before being given an informative tour of the buildings, including both the House of Commons and Lords.
A walk down Whitehall to see Downing Street and Trafalgar Square was followed by a visit to the Supreme Court and a tour of their court rooms and exhibition.
All students got a great insight into where British laws are made and upheld.
James Woollin, Deputy Headteacher and teacher of Politics, said, “The young people who went on the trip all found it informative and fun day to London, which helped them to grasp the intricacies of British politics.”
