Little Willows Day Nursery in Bath has received a Good rating from Ofsted, with the report stating that ‘the children have a strong emotional attachments with the caring staff’, they show ‘a positive attitude to their learning’ and ‘actively engage in a wide range of learning opportunities.’

The comments made in the report include –

  • Children show a positive attitude to their learning. They actively engage in a wide range of learning opportunities. Children show high levels of concentration as they engage in the activities.
  • The special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) is passionate about her role. She has completed relevant training to enable her to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities effectively.
  • The manager has ‘a clear vision for the nursery that she shares with her team to ensure the best support, care, and education is offered to children. She is a good role model and works hard to help staff to be the best they can be and to enable them to deliver the curriculum in the most effective manner’.
  • Staff plan a wide range of activities in each room to cover all seven areas of learning which is further extended within the children’s outdoor provision and revisited by children during free play.

“We also go above and beyond to ensure we hold a strong sense of partnership with our parents to provide consistency to all of our children working  together to mould happy children ensuring that they have the best start in life achieving the best possible outcomes.”

“From our apprentices to our experienced leadership team – all of our staff are thoughtful and reflective about their teaching and are confident in delivering planned learning experiences, as well as our delivery of exceptional play and outdoor learning and ensure that this is accessible for children of all abilities as they move through the EYFS.

“It’s a great for everyone here that Ofsted was able to recognise this and give us such a glowing testimony.”
