Bath mental health charity Boys in Mind has celebrated being shortlisted at the National Diversity Awards (NDA), hailed as ‘The Golden Globes of the diversity world’. The National Diversity Awards were hosted by renowned broadcaster, author, presenter, and journalist Clare Balding CBE, with Boys in Mind shortlisted for the ‘Community Organisation Award for Gender’

“We celebrate 12 years of applauding the fearless, the selfless, and the resilient. From freedom fighters to disability campaigners, youth leaders to LGBT activists, community organisations to inner city champions” said Clare Balding, as she introduced the evening.

An astonishing 90,000 people were nominated this year alone, and Boys in Mind were one of eight charities shortlisted fin their category for the National Diversity Awards, with 120 nominees being recognised for their various achievements nationwide.

Community organisations and role models from across the UK headed to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on 15th September to witness the countries’ 2023 winners being crowned. Amongst those being honoured were charities, campaigners and activists, all of whom work tirelessly to combat injustice and discrimination in very different ways.

Boys in Mind CEO Jim Cumpson (pictured above) said, “It was a fantastic evening with so many amazing charities and organisations and individuals sharing their work and creating awareness of diversity in the UK.  An evening of Hope.
