News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

This term, Westbury Leigh Primary School in Wiltshire has celebrated children who are exemplary in following the school rules and being a role model to others in living out our values by awarding them Ambassador status.

Mr Fowler, Deputy Headteacher explains, “These are the pupils that the staffing team felt live out our school dream of ‘Aspire not to have more but to be more’ and demonstrate on a daily basis our school’s core values by being ambitious and courageous in all they do.

“They show this by taking pride in their work, in their own and others achievements, as well as celebrating individuality and being able to work effectively as part of a team. Our Ambassadors show that they respect, appreciate and care for the environment and the wider school community and provide a positive example to the wider the school community.

Mrs Grimsey, Headteacher, added, “It is a real achievement to be chosen to represent the school. We feel that this role helps children to develop their leadership qualities in guiding and supporting others in following school expectations and making the most of every situation –  we are exceptionally proud of them.

“They have taken on responsibility by being in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing in order to contribute to the success of the school. They are an inspiration to us all.”

Westbury Leigh Ambassadors have a badge to wear and are often called on to take on additional roles around school such as showing visitors around as well as leading by example in all they do.
