A new series of Creators’ Club children’s creative workshops are due to take place at No.1 Royal Crescent in Bath. Led by local artists, these fun and engaging sessions will introduce you to lots of different ways to make art!

Remix the Royal Crescent

1 June @ 10am – 12pm

Learn how to use unconventional materials and techniques to create collaborative and individual artworks, inspired by the Royal Crescent and the beautiful Bath landscape.

The session will use colourful light projection, drawing, yarn weaving and collaborative making.

It promises to be a really creative and fun session that will show Bath’s skyline and famous buildings in a totally new light.

Suitable for ages 8-14.

£10 per child, £9 concession

Photography Portraits

6 July @ 10am – 3 August @ 12pm

Practice photography and learn about Georgian Portraits. Play around with old and new cameras and take photographic portraits inspired by the paintings in No.1 Royal Crescent. Learn about how the portraits showed the fashion and style of the era and make your own modern day versions using costume and props.

Sessions will cover similar concepts. You’re welcome to book for both or just one.

Attendees for the July workshop will be offered the chance to have their portraits made in the session exhibited at No.1 Royal Crescent and the Holburne Museum. Contact the artist for more info.

Creative Collage

No1 Royal Crescent

7 September @ 10am – 12pm

Get inspired by the beautiful buildings of Bath and create a layered paint and collage artwork exploring the geometry and forms of Bath architecture.

Led by artist Taryn Thomas, the session will explore the history behind the city’s design and introduce collage, painting and observational skills in a relaxed and creative environment.

Suitable for ages 8-14.
