News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Over 50 Trowbridge businesses, organisations and charities will be taking part in the Trowbridge Flower Festival by creating floral window displays to coincide with national Great Big Green Week from 8th – 16th June, to bring colour, nature and increased footfall to Wiltshire’s county town.

The Flower Festival will feature colourful window displays, floral sculptures, planters and a series of flower-related events and other eco-activities throughout the summer months and beyond.

There will be colourful tea party, circus and lion-themed floral displays, seed bomb and paper flower making activities, gardening for wildlife talks and other flower-themed events. Flower Festival trail maps will be available to download for residents and visitors of all ages to follow on a fun floral safari around the 50+ Trowbridge locations from Saturday 8th June.

Each of the Flower Festival businesses will display a number alongside their window displays. The challenge is to add up all the numbers and email the total to email hidden; JavaScript is required  All correct entries will go into a draw to win prizes including family cinema tickets at the Parade House Screening Room, a children’s gardening set and flower pot filled with chocolate donated by Asda.

Flower Festival judging will take place on Saturday 8th June. The best window displays will win silver cups and a £100 voucher kindly donated by Trowbridge Garden Centre. Judges include Trowbridge Chamber Chair Kez Garner, Vice-Chair and former Trowbridge in Bloom organiser Jennifer Polledri, the Mayor of Trowbridge Cllr Stephen Cooper and the Manager of Trowbridge Garden Centre, Chris Wilde.
