Corsham Primary joined families and community groups from across the town to support the Corsham Peacock Women’s Institute and Corsham Town Council Poppy Project.
Children from both the Pound Pill and Broadwood sites worked with local residents to knit and create poppy pom-poms, contributing to a striking display marking the 80th anniversary of the Second World War.

The project originally aimed for 10,000 poppies. Thanks to remarkable teamwork and community spirit, more than 30,000 were created.
During October half term, Her Majesty Queen Camilla visited Corsham to view the display. She met children from Corsham Primary, who demonstrated how to make a poppy, before greeting more pupils during her walkabout. It was a proud and memorable moment for the school.
Corsham Primary is part of Pickwick Academy Trust, a partnership of 21 community and church primary schools across North and South Wiltshire and North Dorset.
