Wiltshire families have been getting active for a brilliant cause, with hundreds of local residents joining in Wiltshire Council’s ‘Challenge 25’ to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
Across five energetic days from 10–14 November, participants at leisure centres across the county walked, ran, cycled and swam their way to an amazing combined total of more than 3,200 kilometres – roughly the distance from Stonehenge to Rome and back.
The challenge raised over £1,900, all of which will help support life-changing projects for children and young people across the UK.

Pudsey added plenty of fun throughout the week as he travelled around Wiltshire, popping into leisure centres to cheer on participants, pose for selfies and spark big smiles from families taking part. Pudsey Champions at each site also kept motivation high and helped bring the community spirit to life.
Cllr Mel Jacob, Cabinet Member for Communities, Engagement and Corporate Services, said, “Challenge 25 has been a fantastic success, and I’m so proud of everyone who took part. It’s been inspiring to see our communities come together, get active and raise money for such an important cause.
“Pudsey’s visits were a real highlight and helped remind us all why we were doing this. Every kilometre covered and every pound raised will help make a real difference to children’s lives.”

The week finished with a flourish at Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre in Salisbury, where Pudsey judged a Bake-Off style competition. Jack was crowned Star Baker and awarded a month’s free gym membership.
