Staverton Rangers FC in Wiltshire is kicking off 2026 in style after receiving a £1,000 donation towards brand new kits.
The community club – which is supported by parents, volunteers and local residents – has been presented with the funding by Barratt Bristol, the housebuilder currently developing new homes at Platinum Place in Trowbridge.

The money will provide the whole squad with fresh home and away shirts in the club’s colours. It means players across the age groups can take to the pitch looking smart and ready for action as the new season gets underway.
Supporting grassroots football
The club plays an important role across Wiltshire, offering children the chance to stay active, make friends and develop confidence through football. Teams train and play weekly, with coaches and organisers giving up their time to help young people enjoy the sport they love.
Brian Beacom, a Contracts Manager at Matt Burrows Construction, said, “As volunteers, we rely heavily on the support of local organisations – so on behalf of the whole team, we would like to say a big thank you to Barratt Bristol for our new kits.
“We look forward to welcoming the Barratt team to come and watch our teams play soon – and doing so in style!”
Backing young talent
The donation forms part of Barratt Bristol’s commitment to supporting neighbourhoods where it builds.
Richard Lawson, Sales Director for Barratt Bristol, added, “Local football clubs developing home-grown talent play an integral part of community life, so we are proud to be able to offer our support to the Staverton Rangers FC.
“Grassroots football is more than just a sport. It offers young children a fun and safe learning environment where they are empowered to build teamwork, communication and confidence.”
He added that the housebuilder is keen to continue supporting local groups as new residents move into the community.
A thriving community club
Staverton Rangers FC runs teams across a range of ages and welcomes children from across Trowbridge, Staverton and the surrounding area. Many families from the club also lend a hand through fundraising, transport and pitch-side support.
With their smart new kits ready to go, the teams are hoping for another energetic and successful year on the pitch – and maybe a few more goals too!
