Wiltshire College launches ambitious 150 in 100 apprenticeship campaign

Wiltshire College & University Centre launches its ambitious 150 in 100 campaign to boost apprenticeships and support employers across the region.

Wiltshire College & University Centre has launched its most ambitious apprenticeship campaign to date, encouraging employers across the region to create new opportunities for apprentices in 2026.

The 150 in 100 campaign was launched on 10 February during National Apprenticeship Week and builds on the success of last year’s 100 in 100 initiative, reflecting a growing ambition to support both young people and local businesses.

The aim is to secure 150 apprenticeship pledges from new and existing employer partners over a 100-day period, raising awareness of apprenticeship routes while helping employers grow their workforce and develop future talent.

Throughout the campaign, the College will share employer stories, real apprenticeship experiences and practical guidance, helping businesses understand how apprenticeships can support skills development, build confidence and create long-term workforce growth.

Wiltshire College & University Centre is a leading provider of apprenticeships, working with more than 1,000 employers to train over 2,000 apprentices across 60 different apprenticeship pathways.

These include opportunities in agriculture, business, construction, IT, healthcare and engineering, offering a wide range of career routes for young people and adults across Wiltshire.

Dave West, Executive Director of Growth and Engagement at Wiltshire College & University Centre, said, “Apprenticeships are central to how we support businesses to grow and nurture talent, while creating real career opportunities for people across Wiltshire.

“The 150 in 100 campaign is about starting conversations with employers and showing how apprenticeships can help them develop the skills they need now and in the future.”

Employers already working with the College say apprenticeships play a vital role in developing skills, building confidence and supporting long-term workforce growth.

A spokesperson for DSTL said, “The collaborative approach to apprenticeships between DSTL and Wiltshire College & University Centre has been central to supporting our apprentices.

“It has been a pleasure to explore new ways of working together over the past year, alongside the exceptional ongoing support we receive, and we look forward to continuing this partnership.”

The College continues to invest in specialist learning facilities to support apprentices, including the Wiltshire Business School, the Green Skills Technology Centre and the Health Care Zone, which features a working ambulance and hospital ward.

The campaign launches the day after the College’s Apprenticeship and Work Placement Awards on 9 February, which celebrated the achievements of apprentices, work placement students and employer partners from across the region.
