Fit and Fed, a national programme that combines sport with healthy food choices, returns to Wiltshire during the summer holidays.
The Fit and Fed sessions have been developed by the charity StreetGames to combat the inequalities of hunger, isolation and inactivity during school holidays.
The free sessions enable young people and their families to prepare a nutritious meal and learn about healthy eating, and also feature games and activities.
Sessions are run by Wiltshire Council in partnership with Salisbury City Council, Anybody Can Cook, Selwood Housing Group, Studley Green Primary School, The Trussell Trust and Active Trowbridge.
Fit and Fed programmes take place in Salisbury at Bemerton Heath Neighbourhood Centre on 3, 10 and 21 August, 11.30am-2.30pm and at St Martin’s Primary School on 14 and 28 August, 11.30am-2.30pm.
In Trowbridge, the programme visits Studley Green Primary School on 2, 9, 16 and 23 August, 11am-2pm.
Fit and Fed is aimed at young people over the age of five. Parents must attend with their children.
