Stonar staff, pupils and parents are celebrating a record breaking year of GCSE results. For the first time in over ten years, 97% of pupils have achieved 5 level 4-9 grades and the number of level 7-9 (A/A*) grades increased to 52%. These achievements are testament to the hard work, effort and perseverance of all pupils.
Of particular note are four pupils who each gained 8 grades 8/9 – Chiara Aylett, Jessica Fone, Poppy Richardson and Saroop Lehal.
Incoming Head, Matt Way, commented, “All in all, this year’s results at both GCSE and A Level evidence the strong foundations that are in place at Stonar, combined with the excellent ISI report received in October of last year. It was clear from my first interactions with the school that the staff at Stonar work extremely hard to provide individual support to our pupils, enabling them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and stimulating environment.”
