The Club Supreme Showroom is coming to Twerton and Southside in Bath, offering a playful, interactive performance, where visitors can get involved with creative technology, playing with green screen filming techniques, sound effects and video, and exploring their own ‘supreme’ personas to become members of the Club Supreme.
Created by local Theatre Company Ramshacklicious, who has teamed up with the Natural Theatre Company and local young people from Youth Connect South West, the project presents a unique, multi media installation over two weekends in March, which is free to attend for the public, and everyone is invited to have a go!
Over the last few weeks Ramshacklicious have been working with Youth Connect South West at Southside Youth Centre and Little Lost Robot at Creative Twerton, creating sound and video for the installations with the help of local teenagers.
Ramshacklicious Artistic Director, Jack Stoddart, explained, “The Club Supreme Showroom is a playful, drop in theatrical experience suitable for all the family where people can get involved in a tech-based alternative reality and explore their own Club Supreme characters.
“After spending lots of time touring internationally, we are really happy to be able to share this work with our local communities here in Twerton and Southside.”
Sam Plummer from Youth Connect South West added, “Youth Connect South West, an independent non-profit charity supporting young people, are excited to host the family friendly, interactive Club Supreme performance at Southside Youth Centre. We are enjoying working in collaboration with Ramshacklicious and Natural Theatre Company.
“Young people have been taking part in Club Supreme workshops and will have the chance to get involved with the performance itself. Overall, this is a great theatrical opportunity for our young people and the community.”
Look out also for members of the Natural Theatre Company who will be spilling out onto the surrounding streets to interact with passers by.
Club Supreme’s appearances on the High Street at Creative Twerton, 107 Twerton High Street are part of a wider programme of activities offering local people access to arts activities, driving creative regeneration in the area supported by the West of England Combined Authority.
The performance installations take place over 2 weekends:
