The Bradford on Avon Mini Book Festival is back and will take place on 15 July.
It’s three years since local author Anna Wilson initiated the first (absolutely free) Bradford on Avon Mini Book Festival for kids, a two-day celebration of children’s reading in the Bradford on Avon Library. Last year the event welcomed illustrator Martin Brown and author John McLay, and this year on Saturday 15th July, it will be bringing award winners and bestselling authors Gill Lewis and David Solomons to the Bradford on Avon library.
In addition there will be new books from Maudie Smith and Angie Morgan, editorial surgeries for hopeful writers from an editor at Chicken House Books, a crime-writing workshops, mysteries galore for all ages and the chance to help build an animal menagerie with craftsman Ian McKay.
Books will also be on sale all day, plus ample opportunities to meet the authors and get them signed. Best of all, children aged from 4 – 12 can sign up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.
