Local home search consultancy, Otters Home Search has announced a new partnership with Kingswood School as its exclusive relocation agent, helping parents who are moving to the area find their perfect home.
Otters Home Search, founded by Abbie Long and Francesca Watson, leverages over 40 years of professional experience and a background in chartered surveying to provide clients with a comprehensive property search, negotiation and purchase completion service. Specialising in assisting families relocating to Bath, Otters Home Search ensures they find the right home near Kingswood School.
As local residents who have experienced relocating to the area and enrolling their children in Kingswood School themselves, Abbie and Francesca possess a unique understanding of the relocation process to Bath. Francesca was at school in Bath and grew up in nearby Beckington, Somerset.
In addition to launching a dedicated Otters Home Search relocation area on the Kingswood School website to assist parents, as well as bringing its experience to the school’s Open Days and celebratory events, Otters Home Search will also co-host a Bath Property Networking Event on 18 September 2024. Local property professionals will be invited to tour the school, enjoy a relaxed environment and network within the Kingswood community.
Francesca explained, “Families decide to relocate to the West Country for a number of reasons: the high-quality and affordable education; the desire for a slower pace of life; or the charm of historic cities like Bath. We understand that finding the right school for your child is a key focus for every family.
“As two people who have experienced Kingswood first-hand, benefiting from its nurturing, inclusive approach, we’re delighted to assist Kingswood parents in discovering their perfect home within the wonderful community that is Bath.”
Abbie added, “With children who have been at Kingwood since nursery, I know the school, its ethos and culture incredibly well. I’ve cheered on the side of rugby pitches, stocked up at Christmas Fairs and car shared with other parents, giving me a unique window into life as part of the Kingswood School community.
“So, partnering with Kingswood and its parents feels like a very natural step. We’ll draw on our personal and professional experience to help everyone, from those moving in the area to those moving from the South East or overseas.”
Andrew Gordon-Brown, Headmaster at Kingswood School, commented, “Partnering with Otters Home Search offers us a terrific opportunity to be part of the support network for families re-locating to the Bath area, as we understand the pressures of moving into a new area and looking at schools.
“We are proud of the education we offer here at Kingswood, in service of our vision of holistic, well-rounded and modern education that transforms lives. We are delighted at having been recognised in the Sunday Times Parent Power’s list as the best performing 11-18 co-educational day and boarding school in the South West region, and we look forward to welcoming families from near and far during our series of Autumn open events, starting with our Senior Open Morning on 28 September.”
