News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Children from 34 schools across the Bath area entered this year’s Fireworks Safety Poster competition sponsored by Bath Building Society and supported by The Rotary Club of Bath. The overall winner of the competition was Benz Richards from Combe Down Primary School, with the winners of each of the five categories being given a money voucher to open a Bath Building Society Account, an art set and a Bath Building Society goody bag.

The posters were judged on their fireworks safety message and artistic merit. The judges for this year’s competition were: Councillor Michelle O’Doherty, Mayor of Bath; Meghann Elvin – Children & Young Persons Manager from Avon Fire & Rescue; Emma Grist – Intervention Facilitator also from Avon Fire & Rescue; Paul Suchley from The Rotary Club of Bath; and Richard Ingle and Tiffany Hardie-Albutt from Bath Building Society.
