Free admission for families during half-term (26 October – 3 November) and a ‘Fantastical Tails’ gallery trail inspired by the wonderful creatures and animals in Chila Burman and Paula Rego’s work; suitable for ages 6yrs+.

Take on the apple trail and children's games in The Orchard. Tik off all the items on the trail and you will get a prize to take home. A celebration of all things autumnal including pumpkin patch Fur, Fangs, and Feathers scavenger hunt (28 Oct–1 Nov) to explore the zoo, hunt for hidden clues whilst learning all about some fascinating animals and native wildlife. This course covers assessment and examination, triage and euthanasia, medical treatments, first aid, wound care and bandaging, and a Q&A session. Participants will receive course handouts (emailed after the course), invitation to attend a course practical day (charges apply), and a voucher for £10 off the SWWR Introduction to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation book (2022). Attendees of all four online courses and the practical day will receive the SWWR Certificate in Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release and a badge.

Annual bonfire night fundraiser with a lantern glow, a massive bonfire, a professional fireworks display, bar and food. Donating rather than buying tickets you can give as much as you can afford and avoid the long queues at the gate. In addition, there will be 600 tickets available via donations (please book early to avoid the gate queues and take advantage of “Give what you can”).
