A celebration of all things autumnal including pumpkin patch Fur, Fangs, and Feathers scavenger hunt (28 Oct–1 Nov) to explore the zoo, hunt for hidden clues whilst learning all about some fascinating animals and native wildlife. Participants will receive a discount pumpkins purchased from the patch and win a family animal adoption of your choice. There will also be displays with a selection of birds of prey.

The Unforgettable Behaviour exhibition showcases 39 photographs from previous Wildlife Photographer of the Year collections, displaying some of the most incredible animal behaviour moments ever captured on camera. The photos show an extraordinary range of surprising, and often deeply moving, acts by animals. They have been chosen to allow visitors to connect with animals they might never otherwise see and to inspire everyone to care about the world around us. Steph and Craig are back with all things spooky and ghouly although it won't be too scary for the babies and Littles with some seasonal bangers such as Monster Mash, Ghostbusters and The Cranberries to name a few. Get into the mood and come in spooky fancy dress. Suitable for ages 0-6 years.

Three dancers' shimmy through the audience weaving a tapestry of sticky tape in a tactile dance performance for young children. Tape, stick and groove, to see and feel sound or to be still, watch and listen. Audiences are encouraged to explore freely, choosing how they engage, and turning the rules upside down in this interactive, engaging and colourful performance installation for children and their families. Suitable for ages 3-5 years.

An interactive show for all the family. Grab your compass and join an intrepid explorer across uncharted territories to discover a pre-historic world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs. Meet a host of impressive creatures, including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus! There will also be a special meet and greet after the show.

An intense multi-sensory horror event suitable for ages 15+. Navigate the house in darkness encountering the horrors of ‘Purgatory’, featuring live actors, special effects and disturbing aromascapes. Brave the dark underbelly of the House in the X-treme basement walkthrough experience and steady your nerves in the Bloody Mary’s Bar serving horrifyingly good cocktails and drinks.

With five scare mazes, fire show, funfair rides, street entertainment, and a theatrical scare experience known as The Exorcism. Suitable for ages 16+.

A new Son et Lumiere installation marking the first light and sound installation in the Abbey. The stained-glass windows of the Abbey will be brought to life using light projections and musical compositions highlighting the intricate designs and colours that define these masterpieces and echo the colours and stories once painted across the architecture.

The live comedy game show where you all play along! Log in with your smartphone or tablet and compete in a range of games, puzzles and quizzes to win the show, and prizes! There’ll be entirely different games and quizzes at each show. Suitable for ages 6+ years (afternoon) and 12+ years (evening).

Free exhibition featuring a selection of the 150,000 artefacts, specimens and books donated and cared for in our the collections of the Institute. Highlighting key people and events in the Institution’s history to demonstrate how it survived through two centuries. Some items are on show for the first time and will explore the circumstances in which they found their way into the Collection, and what this reveals of the shifts in our scientific, cultural and moral understanding over this period.

An opportunity to learn more about the school and the girl-centred education on offer. There will be pastoral and academic staff on hand to chat to parents and students, tours of the School and boarding house for Years 7-11 students, as well as learning more about day-to-day life of the boarders. A great way to get those broken household objects and toys working again - the skilled volunteers can try to fix electrical and mechanical items, furniture, clothing, toys and more. Donations to cover running costs are always welcome.

Annual 'Military and Transport' themed model show in this family friendly event. The day will feature IMPS (UK) Modelling Clubs from across the country showcasing military and transport-related models, remote-controlled tank displays, opportunities to buy modelling kits from clubs and trade stands; as well as entry to the Museum and display from the Museum’s own model collection.

This course covers record keeping and legal considerations, care of neonatal and juvenile 'orphan' birds and mammals, care of adult birds and mammals, and a Q&A session.
