Bathscape Walking Festival 2024
With over 60 events for families, groups and solo walkers, the majority of which are free (full programme available online). Foodies will enjoy "Start with Cake, end with Cheese", a 5.5 mile circular starting at Bath Soft Cheese, Kelston. For more ambitious walkers there is a 9.5 mile walk "A Folly, a Quaint Village and Some Engineering", starting and ending at the Crown Pub, Bathford. Free exhibition featuring a selection of the 150,000 artefacts, specimens and books donated and cared for in our the collections of the Institute. Highlighting key people and events in the Institution’s history to demonstrate how it survived through two centuries. Some items are on show for the first time and will explore the circumstances in which they found their way into the Collection, and what this reveals of the shifts in our scientific, cultural and moral understanding over this period.

Through its seasons, nature reminds us of the fragility of life and offers peace and solace from sadness and overwhelm. The interactive nature trail aims allow anyone wishing to find a wellbeing space to reflect in nature, or to find serenity in grief. Take a pause and learn more about the bio-diverse species found in the meadows, do some nature rubbings, view the art installation and explore the site.

A fun pirate-themed event for all abilities and ages with two routes - a 4.5 mile loop downstream to the Avon County Rowing Club and back and a 1.5 mile loop upstream towards Weston Lock and back. Participants can choose to paddle a route or a mix of both routes as many times as desired.
