Small and mostly free music festival with a range of live music including pop, folk, rock, Americana, and country on 5 stages, children's events and activities, food and drink, big sing workshop, morris dancing and much more.

Free exhibition featuring a selection of the 150,000 artefacts, specimens and books donated and cared for in our the collections of the Institute. Highlighting key people and events in the Institution’s history to demonstrate how it survived through two centuries. Some items are on show for the first time and will explore the circumstances in which they found their way into the Collection, and what this reveals of the shifts in our scientific, cultural and moral understanding over this period.

Free admission for families during half-term (26 October – 3 November) and a ‘Fantastical Tails’ gallery trail inspired by the wonderful creatures and animals in Chila Burman and Paula Rego’s work; suitable for ages 6yrs+.

Celebrating a journey through the diversity of American landscapes, history and culture in this contemporary, immersive experience, where visitors join in and share their own stories. There will be large-scale-travel games, theatrical sets, and an array of American road-trip memorabilia, as well a chance to get up close to an original 1958 Harley Davidson Duo Glide motorcycle, on loan from Haynes Motor Museum. Series of courses and workshops designed on topics including starting secondary school, supporting worries and anxiety, wellbeing and careers as part of a joint initiative between Kingsbury Green Academy and Wiltshire Council Family and Community Learning. Featuring around 100 posters, this blockbuster show brings bohemian Montmartre to Bath with bright colours and bold lines, Toulouse-Lautrec's striking artwork captured the essence of turn-of-the-century Parisian nightlife. Pieces include his first poster of the Moulin Rouge and the cancan dancers of La Troupe de Mademoiselle Eglantine, alongside works by other celebrated artists of the day. Traditional annual agricultural show celebrating food, farming and cheese with music, stalls, entertainment, horse, falconry, stunt and machinery displays, livestock, dog show and parades, children's entertainment, circus skills, facepainting, climbing, archery, shooting, golf, funfair, inflatables, arts and craft and much more!

Join in with seasonal field tasks to be productive, educational, engaging and sociable and have fun whilst learning where our food comes from in a beautiful setting, overlooking Chew Valley Lake. Adults and (supervised) children are welcome.

A fun pirate-themed event for all abilities and ages with two routes - a 4.5 mile loop downstream to the Avon County Rowing Club and back and a 1.5 mile loop upstream towards Weston Lock and back. Participants can choose to paddle a route or a mix of both routes as many times as desired.

This course covers ethical considerations when treating wildlife, health and safety: your own and your responsibility to others, wildlife rescue techniques and equipment, cleanliness, hygiene and biosecurity, and a Q&A session.
