The Palladian Academy Trust is putting on One Night at the Palladian at The Forum in Bath on Monday 18 June 2018, at 6.30pm, as a fantastic celebration of the arts in its schools.
The Palladian Academy Trust is made up of eight Bath schools – Ralph Allen School, Combe Down C of E Primary School, Oldfield Park Infant School, Oldfield Park Junior School, St Martin’s Garden Primary School, St Philip’s C of E School, Widcombe Infant School and Widcombe C of E Junior School.
This evening is the first-ever Trust-wide showcase of the wide range of talents of the pupils and staff who have taught them, with two groups of children from each school performing an act in front of an invited audience of parents and local dignitaries.
The acts include choirs, dance performances, a djembe-drumming spectacular, a black and white movie bonanza, songs with instrumental accompaniment and a grand finale from Oliver with every performer taking part.
Nearly 600 pupils will be taking part in total, in front of an audience of over 800 people.
Tim Withers, CEO of the Palladian Academy Trust (PAT), said, “I am delighted that the Trust is able to showcase its performance work in the very best way. This demonstrates our commitment to a broad and balanced education, which once might have been thought the birthright of every child. Arts education for the PAT is never a bolt-on, but part of a vibrant learning experience, and I am sure we will see some real vibrancy on 18 June, Palladian-style!
“The PAT is delighted to share the work of its students with the local community in what will be its first public showcase. It promises to be spectacular!”
