PC Joshua Partridge recently paid a visit to Little Willows Nursery in Corsham to speak to the children about his work as a police officer as part a project the children are enjoying based around people who help them.
The children really enjoyed the visit and particularly liked looking at his police car, complete with flashing lights! One of children explained that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up and even dressed up on his own uniform for the visit.
“This was a fantastic engagement event and it was lovely to speak to all the little ones about my work,” said PC Partridge. “It is vital that children learn about the police and see us as people who can help them and keep them safe, rather than just people who tell them off and lock baddies up.”
Abi Gilbert, the Nursery Manager at Little Willows Corsham, added, “At Little willows we believe that real life experiences are very important to support the children’s development and understanding, making the visit from PC Partridge was a wonderful experience for all involved.”
