In addition, The Art Cohort is running a series of art workshops and classes in 2020 for children.
In January, it is introducing its new after school club Crafty Makers on Tuesdays at 4-5pm. The class is a chance to use the things that normally get thrown away, with children aged seven and upwards recycling and getting crafty making 2D and 3D creations with found materials.
The Make Your Mark after school club, meanwhile, will reconvene in January on Mondays at 4-5p.m. Here’s a chance for children to be creative, follow their own ideas and make their mark through art through painting and drawing.
From January, The Art Cohort will be running Toddler & Preschool Art classes on Monday and Friday morning at 10.30-11.30a.m. for ages 2-5 years. £6.50 per class.
The Drop in Art and Craft sessions run weekly on Friday afternoons 2-5 pm and Saturday morning at 11am-1pm, with no booking required. Parents and children can turn up and get creative with the art supplies and materials in the studio workshop and the team at Art Cohort will clean up the mess at the end!
On Fridays from 10.30 – 11.45 am, children from 2-5 years can look forward to the Pre-school gardening and craft class, an exploratory space to become green fingered and creatively explore the natural world around us. Each week follows a theme exploring activities such as planting, harvesting, making an insect hotel, connecting with the wildlife around us and many more ideas. Parents / carers and their pre-school children work together getting their hands muddy and exploring creative activities alongside learning about plants and gardening.
