Prior Park College in Bath is delighted with the performance of its A Level students with two thirds achieving A*-B grades.
Since the announcement in March confirming that exams would be cancelled this summer, students have had an anxious wait. One Prior Park student, Andrii (pictured above) had to quickly return to his home in Ukraine before the borders closed. Reflecting on this time, he said, “As the last few months have proven, there is no point in predicting the future. Despite this time being outstandingly stressful and volatile, I am proud of myself and my peers at becoming more flexible and resilient, so no matter what challenges we may face in the future, I know we can overcome them.”
Andrii, an HMC scholar, was awarded exceptional grades and is off to Georgetown University in the US where he will major in International Political Economy and Business.
Prior Park’s Head, Ben Horan, commented, “After the most difficult and peculiar year for our students, we are very pleased with this set of results and are particularly delighted that most students will be able to go to their first choice university. It is important to remember that our students are not solely defined by their grades, they are so much more than that and we celebrate all our Upper 6 has achieved during their time at Prior. We wish them continued success for the future.”
Prior Park College will be hosting a Sixth Form Information Evening on 6 October from 6-9pm for families looking at A Level options for September 2021.
