Congratulations to Natasha Moyes, a pupil at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham, who has achieved a Grade 2 standard from The Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) as a result of her 60 and 70m hurdles times, despite her training taking place during lockdown.
In 2020 Natasha was the 60m indoor sprint champion for the South West and was ranked in the UK Top 20 for the 75m hurdles.
“I’m happy because I didn’t expect it,” commented Natasha about her success. “I hope to achieve Grade 1 in the future.”
“At Hardenhuish, we are so proud of Natasha and how she has been resilient in her training and finding new ways to train whilst her coaching sessions have not always been accessible,” said Mrs Davidge-Lumber from the school’s PE department. “We know that Natasha is going to have a big athletics season this year and we wish her all the best for 2021.
