Box Pre-school Playgroup has funded and non-funded places available for children aged from two to four years old at their popular and well established playgroup.
Based permanently in the Jubilee Centre in Box, the playgroup is securely tucked well away in the heart of the village behind Market Place, offering a safe, relaxing and homely environment where children can feel confident and secure to explore, develop and learn.
“Throughout the COVID pandemic we have continued to provide a high quality education for our preschoolers and it’s something that we’re looking forward to continuing throughout the new school year,” said Yvonne Jenkinson, the playgroup supervisor. “This lovely and cosy Playgroup was established over 50 years ago and has been nurturing the toddlers and pre-schoolers of Box and the surrounding areas ever since.
“The Playgroup offers a homely environment with a fantastic, lively atmosphere focused around structured play with specific sessions for drama, Inter2Sport, music and movement, P.E., cooking and gardening, along with well-regarded sessions for the Little Acorns. Our aim is for your child to become a happy and confident member of the group and to gain a sense of fun and achievement from the sessions.
“The children also enjoy singing nursery rhymes at circle time, mark making in our outdoor space and recent trips to Box recreation ground where we practiced sports day races and investigated the Box Rock Circus.
“We pride ourselves on our team of enthusiastic and experienced staff, who are dedicated to the safety, development and well-being of all the children entrusted to our care. The staff are warm and friendly and the wonderful atmosphere generated within this playgroup between the staff and children truly reflects this.”
Box Pre-school Playgroup is open 8.30am-3.30 pm term time only. Flexible session are available. Visits can be arranged subject to Covid guidelines.
