News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Rock Out Baby music classes for babies and toddlers are coming to Bath, with classes starting on Tuesday mornings at New Oriel Hall in Larkhall. Plus, there’s a special offer that means that first class costs just £1!

Rock Out Baby was created by local mum Olivia as a way for babies and toddlers to nourish their creativity and awaken their inner Rock Star. “We’re different to most baby music classes because we play live music with the guitar and all of our classes are hosted by real musicians,” explained Olivia. “We make our classes fun for the grown ups too as we play covers of well known rock and roll/ pop songs. We believe in an inclusive environment where everyone learns from each other and has some fun along the way.”

Each class involves lots of live music, interactive puppet play, a rhythm section, a sensory section and a big musical parachute. The classes also explore a different theme each week, which coincides with any special holidays that month, such as International woman’s day or pride weeks, as well as celebrating the changing of the seasons.

“I started Rock Out Baby in the height of the pandemic and even though it was a bit stop start at first with all the different rules coming and going, we’ve gone from strength to strength,” explains Olivia. “We now have over 10 different classes all over Bristol and have a gorgeous residency at Windmill Hill City Farm. We’re also so excited to be expanding into Bath at the New Oriel Hall in Larkhall.”
