News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Wear It Blue is an awareness-raising event that Bath Mind is hosting on World Mental Health Day 2022. It invites members of the community to wear blue in support of better mental health for all.

This World Mental Health Day, Bath Mind want to show the community that their mental health matters. To show your support, they are asking their supporters to wear blue on Monday 10th October and donate to the charity, which provides mental health and wellbeing support to thousands of people in BaNES every year.

By joining forces to #WearItBlue Bath Mind can help to reduce the stigma around mental health, and encourage people to open conversations, share their experience and support others to get help if they need it.

Join in on 10 October to Wear it Blue to show your commitment to support for mental health and wellbeing.  Even pets can Wear it Blue!

The Bath Mind website has more information and a great downloadable pack of resources including badges and banners!

Please share your pictures with us on social media and tag #BathMind #WearItBlue.

Whilst affiliated with the charity national Mind, Bath Mind is an independent charity, responsible for its own fundraising and with its own governance. It provides services which directly benefit the local community. With your help, it can continue to support individuals across Bath and North East Somerset.

If you, or someone you know, needs support with their mental health, Bath Mind’s  Access Community Mental Health (ACMH) team will walk alongside you every step of the way. This support includes:

  • regular check-ins with you to support you to achieve your goals
  • discussions around local services for you to try
  • encouragement and support to access mental health services such as counselling
  • a trained and friendly team member that you can rely on

The ACMH team will also help you to plan your next steps, with a focus on future independence.

If you are 16+ and living within B&NES and would like support in accessing the services available in your community, please get in touch via the contact form on the website Access Community Mental Health Contact Form – Bath Mind
