The Bath Strings Academy is launching is Chamber Music Programme and its family-friendly Sparkling Strings Christmas Workshop.
Chamber Music Programme
“Join us on Monday evenings for a unique opportunity!,” said Ruth O’Shea, one of the co-directors at The Bath Strings Academy. “Chamber music means playing music in small groups, often with just one player per part and usually without a conductor. Everyone in the group is equally important and chamber music teaches us independence, confidence, empathy and teamwork. We are looking to recruit new members, so please get in touch if you are interested.
“These chamber sessions are suitable for string players of Grades 1 – 8+ who play violin, viola, cello or piano. We organise groups according to playing level and age.”
Session Fee: £12.60 per player
Sibling/Second Session Discount: £9.60
All fees are invoiced termly in advance. Bursaries are available.
Session Times: 4.00pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm (all sessions are 50 minutes)

Sparkling Strings
Sunday 10th December
“This full day family-friendly workshop offers an opportunity for string players of all levels, to experience the joys of group playing as we explore some popular Christmas-themed music,” explains co-director Michelle Falcon. “There will be lots of fun and musical games, designed to engage our minds and bodies to make learning easy and fun.
“This workshop is suitable for string players of Grades 0 – 8 who play violin, viola, cello or double bass.”
Course Fee: £38 per player

All fees are subject a small additional platform booking fee. Bursaries are available – please contact us in advance of booking.
Course Times: 10.00am – 4.15pm with lunch time and interim breaks (please bring a packed lunch)
