Hayesfield School in Bath is proud to share that its students have achieved exceptional GCSE results again this year, reflecting their hard work, resilience, and dedication.
This year, over 40% of students achieved an impressive five or more grades at Grade 7 and above, with more than a quarter of the Year Group achieving 8 or more grades at that standard. 91% of students achieved a minimum of Grade 4 in both English and Maths, which opens doors and will enable them to move forwards with confidence on the next steps to achieving their ambitions.
Nearly 40% of all grades were at Grade 7 and above with an impressive 8% of all grades at Grade 9, nearly double the national average. The school also saw strong performances across all subjects, with 75% of all grades at 5 and above compared to the national average of 52%.
Headteacher Philip White commented, “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements this year. These results are a testament to their determination and the excellent teaching and support from our dedicated staff.
“Despite the challenges faced over the last few years, our students have shown remarkable perseverance, and it has been wonderful to come together to celebrate their success. These results continue to position our school as one of the highest performing Girls’ State Schools in the country.”
Students are now looking forward to the next stage in their educational journeys, with many progressing to A-Levels, vocational training, or apprenticeships, ready to build on the strong foundations gained at Hayesfield.
