With the warm summer days here (well, some of the time anyway!), there’s no better time to have your boiler and central heating serviced to make sure that its working to its full potential so that it is ready and prepared for the colder days and months to come. After all, the last thing you want is for you family to be lining up for a hot shower or bath, only to be treated to a trickle of cold water!
There are no signs that a boiler needs servicing as such , it is just advisable to have it done annually for safety and efficiency, and to comply with boiler warranty if it has one. However, it is a legal requirement if the property is rented, plus a regular service can prevent any unwanted winter breakdowns and more costly repair bills.

It involves checking the gas pressure, the products of combustion, making sure that all of the seals are up to the job, ensuring that the flue works properly, and cleaning out the condensate trap, as well as the system filter, if it has one. We’ll also check for any leaks, bleed any radiators that have air in them, then fire up the system to check that all of the heating and hot water works.
