News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Bath Mind is inviting families from across the region to go along to Kingswood School Sports Pavilion in Bath on Sunday 8 September, where they will be hosting eight hours of family fun, sport, and challenges. Among the sports and activities that will be on offer are yoga, football, netball, hockey, team games, car boot bingo, arts activities, tai chi, rounders and more.

Bath Mind is a local charity designed to promote and nurture everyone’s mental health through the provision of information, activities, advice and support. In 2018, it was awarded funding by Sport England and the National Lottery to help people to try new sports and activities to help improve their physical and mental health. This was named Get Set to Go, and is now in it’s summer programme phase around B&NES.

To bring all of these fantastic activities together, Bath Mind is hosting a Sport-athon at Kingswood School, open to all who are looking to increase their activity levels, and a fun day out in support of local mental health charity, Bath Mind.

Not only will there be opportunities for individuals to take part in the eight-hour event, but there will also be drop in sessions for family and friends. These drop in sessions will include a variety of sporting and arts activities for all ages, from children’s yoga to family dodgeball.

Want to take part? Bath Mind is asking that participants pledge a fundraising target of £200, and are able to participate in the 8-hour challenge from 10-6pm.

Interested in our Friends and Family session? Come along at anytime to take part in our drop in sessions for £5 per person, kids are free!

Get in touch. All abilities are welcome – whether you’re a seasoned badminton player or a beginner to sports and fitness; Bath Mind welcome you to come along and give our activities a go.
