News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

To celebrate Bath Children’s Literature Festival, which runs from Friday 27 September to Sunday 6 October, the festival and Bath Business Improvement District have devised a community fun activity. They are running a treasure trail through the city centre and there are loads of great books to be won!

Families are invited to download a free Treasure Trail sheet and map from here or pick one up free from one of the following venues – Bath Central Library, The Forum, Hawkin’s Bazaar, The Guildhall, Paperchase, Waterstones children’s department, Happyology, My Small World, Mr B’s Emporium, Hardy’s Original Sweetshop or the Visitor Information Centre.

Find as many characters as you can in the shops on the map. The characters to look out for are Tracy Beaker, Percy the Park Keeper, Elmer the Elephant, Moomintroll, The Gruffalo, Wimpy Kid, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Dennis the Menace, Alien Loves Underpants and Kipper the Dog.

Once you have found as many as you can and written down where you found them, simply head to the Bath Box Office at the Visitor Information Centre in Terrace Walk by Sunday 6 October to hand in your map to claim your prize and be entered into a prize draw to win receive a bundle of books.
