News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Places are now available for two to four years olds at the Sunbeams Nursery in the South West of Bath. Based at Roundhill Primary School, the new nursery is designed to offer a safe, fun, caring and inspiring home from home where children have fun, learn new things and make friends in an inspiring green environment with amazing facilities and expert staff.

“The Sunbeams (three to four year olds) and Treetops (two year olds) nurseries have been purpose-built for pre-school children,” explained Sue Adams, Sunbeams Head Teacher. “Everything is tried and tested, safe and protected within an infant school site. There’s no daily dismantling of our equipment – Sunbeams is always ready for play and learning.

“Sunbeams and Treetops children love making the most of the fresh air in delightful gardens, woodlands, playing fields and outdoor play areas on the edge of Bath. We also have a modern, well-stocked children’s library, and permanent home, creative corners.”

Sue added that one thing that children and parents will notice straight away is the amount of space that the nursery offers. “There’s no need to worry about busy bees who want to charge around or if your little one prefers a quieter time – there’s plenty of space for all personalities at Sunbeams, whether they’re riding bikes or snuggling in cosy corners to share a story.

“Sunbeams is a bit of a hidden gem – there’s very few nursery provisions quite like it in Bath,” added Sue, who has over 36 years’ experience in infant and nursery education. “I think what’s so special is that we combine a caring family ethos with such depth of expertise in nursery teaching and leadership. And I think the jewel in our crown is all the greenery and space we have – to breathe, grow, run, scoot and play.”

Michelle Francis, Nursery Manager, said, ‘We’re open throughout term time, with half and full day sessions available. or carers with other commitments, we can offer additional wrap around care between 8am and 4.30pm via Breakfast Club and the Sunbeams 3 O’Clock Club.”

Tracy Fournier, Early Years Lead, added, “We still have spaces for September so come and meet our happy team and see the opportunity for you and your child. Email email hidden; JavaScript is required to arrange a time for a personal visit. We’re really looking forward to you coming in to see us!”
