News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Pupils at Abbot Alphege Academy in Bath have been celebrating Harvest throughout this week culminating in a special assembly where pupils made donations for the Bath Food Bank.

During a Harvest Festival assembly, key stage two pupils shared their original harvest prayers and hymns, while pupils in foundation and key stage one shared their detailed drawings of vegetables growing underground. The assembly drew to a close with pupils singing rafter lifting renditions of Autumn Days and Harvest Samba.

Headteacher Mrs Vicky Dupras said, “It was wonderful to see our pupils performing with confidence to share their harvest inspired hymns and prayers making this a very special assembly indeed. I’d like to thank our whole community for their generous donations to Bath Food Bank.”
