News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Neston Farm Nursery in Wiltshire has been graded by Ofsted as ‘Good’ across all areas, with the report stating, ‘Children show they feel safe and secure in the welcoming and friendly nursery,’ and ‘Babies form strong attachments with staff. Babies confidently explore the environment and approach their special adult for comfort when needed.”

The report went on to add, ‘Older children know about the rules they need to follow to keep themselves safe when in the woods.’

“Having been open for just over a year we are very proud of what we have achieved in this time and look forward to growing even more,” said Kelly Sutherland, Neston Farm Nursery Manager. “The biggest thank you to all our staff who work incredibly hard every single day. One of the things we are most proud about at Neston is the love that the staff have for all the children, and we feel that this really comes through in the report.

“We opened Neston Farm Children’s Nursery in May 2021. With our other nurseries in Midford Road and Oldfield Road in Bath well established, our director Amy wanted to combine learning with exploration in a farm nursery. Neston Farm Nursery is located on an organic farm offering outdoor space perfect for all children to grow and develop a curiosity of the world around them.

“With our range of animals, woodlands and spacious environment, Neston Farm Children’s Nursery is an idyllic setting allowing the educators to scaffold the children’s learning through play-based opportunities and child-led enquiries.”
